Episode 12: Bill Explains Jean Baudrillard
OK, peoples. It has come to my
attention that many of you are not well versed in the writings of Jean Baudrillard,
the French post-modern philosopher. Well, I once read a website about him,
so I am highly qualified to talk about this subject.
First, his name is pronounced
"boh-dre-yar." Any other pronunciation makes you look like a stupid
American. The French hate stupid Americans.
Secondly, Baudrillard believes
that we define and interpret our reality through various electronic media,
thus creating a form of meta-reality, and thereby eliminating reality altogether.
Reality is no more!
