Room for Doubt
by R. Thomas

cup of blood
goblet
if you will

wafer
savior
eat your fill

consuming
an immaculate

it’s been years now
I don’t feel
holy yet

is my faith
strong enough
to endure my trusting droughts

what I’ve been trained
to believe
has still left room for doubt.
